This custom home by John Merritt Homes defies being able to put a single architectural style/ label on it. There are influences of Spanish, California, Southwest, Mediterranean, Contemporary and Transitional. Simply put, it strongly reflects the owner’s varied likes.

From the curb the large circular drive allows a sweeping view of the entire front elevation on arrival. Landscaping and site grade are effective in addressing the severe lot slope. The near-white rock, Austin Chalk whopped, and stucco color are dramatically accented by black trim, window and door frame and steel roofing. The front elevation also features exposed rafter tails and a six foot arch steel front door. Inside, the same colors are also contrasted by brown flooring and wood beams. Large windows and an open floor plan offer up abundant natural light. The owner loves the functionality of her kitchen. The kitchen counter tops can be kept clear thanks to an adjacent Butler’s Pantry and prep area. Toward the rear of the Great Room is a full bar with warping windows that hinge up accessing the outdoor kitchen. The gorgeous rear view can be taken in through the bar windows and over-size sliding door unit. The pool features a negative edge where the water joins the view unobstructively. Unique antique Mexican wood doors provide transition into the Master Bath. The Powder is a real eye catcher with bright-color glass tiles on the mirror wall sitting behind the clear glass vessel sink.
